While working at The Mississauga News

While working at the Mississauga News I decided to take on a personal project of my own, the redesign of the current Mississauga News website layout. I wanted something that would be easy to read and simulate interest in each article being displayed. I wanted the focus to be on colour and its relationship to the article type. Blue for sports (leafs, jays, etc), Green for business (money), Red for entertainment (red carpet), etc. Each colour would be displayed on the appropriate article page. I feel the current Mississauga News print and website layout schemes are outdated and old. I believe this is the real reason they cannot attract a younger crowd.

Unfortunately, I did not have the time to implement the design into a live production copy.
